By decision of the Board of Directors of Rotary International on 2 June 2022, the request of the Rotary clubs of Albania and Kosovo to form a joint, Albanian-speaking district was approved, and it was given the number District 2485.
The district is now represented by its own elected officers in Rotary International’s leadership structures, giving Albania and Kosovo a voice at the highest levels of Rotary.
Special thanks go to PDG Radu Popescu, Special Representative of the RI President for Albania and Kosovo; Katerina Kotsali-Papadimitriou, RI Director for Zone 21; RI President Shekhar Mehta; and the Board of Directors of Rotary International in Evanston, USA.
“We join Rotary to work more. We join Rotary to serve even better. We join Rotary never to be divided again.” – Dr. Neshad R. Albani
