The Peja Peace Forum was founded by Dr. Neshad R. Albani, the club’s founding president. Its message is simple: peace has no alternative.
The first edition, on 11 September 2024, took as its theme “Building Peace in a World of Rivalry”. Across four panels it brought together former EU ambassadors, university professors, journalists, economists, technology and AI experts, human rights leaders and Rotarians from the USA, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Japan, Colombia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. Club president Fjolla Lluka and Peja Rotarians organised and moderated the forum, hosted by Haxhi Zeka University.
In 2026, for the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the forum held a round table on “The road ahead: does artificial intelligence make us more productive today but less capable tomorrow?”. It closed with a commemoration at the club’s 9/11 memorial.
