Fruitopia – peace education and human rights in Peja schools

Rotary Club Peja has secured a global grant from The Rotary Foundation (GG2577770) for the project “Education for Peace and Human Rights for Teachers and Pupils in the Municipality of Peja”.

Education matters more than ever in times like these. The project promotes peace, mutual understanding and respect for human rights by giving teachers and pupils the knowledge and tools to build them in their own schools and communities.

It is being delivered through Fruitopia, a peace and human rights education programme, in five primary schools in the Peja municipality. It is one of the most important Rotary projects in Kosovo in the field of peace education.

The partners are the Rotary Club of Innsbrook (Virginia), the Rotary Club of Johnston (Iowa), five Rotary districts in the United States, and the organisation Hardwired.
