Thanks to cooperation between the Municipality of Peja and Rotary Club Peja, a fire and rescue service from Great Britain donated a fire engine to Peja’s professional firefighting unit. The British firefighters drove the vehicle all the way to Peja themselves.
The handover took place in the yard of the firefighting unit. Deputy Mayor Shkumbin Gashi thanked the donors: the city needed such a vehicle but could not afford to buy one, and the municipality was grateful to Rotary for all the help it had given so far.
